The project involved the simultaneous construction of two distinct additions and various renovations while it remained occupied. One of the key features was the new state-of-the-art library and the other addition included a new wing with four classrooms, expanding the school’s capacity to accommodate more students.
As part of the renovations, a water cooling tower was removed and replaced with two new chillers, along with an upgraded piping system to improve the building’s HVAC efficiency. The fire alarm system was also completely upgraded throughout the facility, ensuring enhanced safety for all occupants.
Renovations took place in several key areas, including the training room, vestibule, and multiple classrooms, to modernize and improve functionality. The project commenced before the summer break, with the goal of completing all work before the beginning of the next school year. To ensure minimal disruption to students and staff, Himmelman Construction kept the construction areas securely blocked off and separate from day-to-day school activities. Daily cleaning routines were implemented to maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring that the school was always ready for students the following day. This careful planning and execution allowed for a successful project completion without hindering the educational experience.
