Himmelman Construction (Himmelman), a privately held, Fourth Generation,
commercial General Contractor headquartered in Lakewood, Colorado, is excited to
announce they will be working with Goodwill of Colorado. Himmelman Construction Inc.
has commenced construction on the new Colorado Excel Center, located in Aurora,
Colorado, at Iliff and Chambers.
The Excel Center is a tuition-free adult learning high school that will provide Colorado
adults age 22 and older a path to attain their high school diploma—currently, there are
more than 32,000 adults age 25 and older without a high school diploma in the Aurora
area. Excel Center adult learners will receive transportation assistance, free drop-in
childcare, the opportunity to earn college credits, certifications, and industry-recognized
credentials to help them become job-ready in as few as 20 hours. Himmelman is proud
to be working with Goodwill of Colorado and is inspired by its commitment to helping
Coloradans overcome barriers to personal and economic independence and conquer
generational poverty.
When asked about working with Goodwill of Colorado, Colton Himmelman said, “It is an
amazing organization, with amazing people. These are the types of projects that we
really enjoy, and want to be a part of. Working with Goodwill and 3890 Design has been
a lot of fun.” Design services for the Excel Learning Center were provided by Littleton
based 3890 Design.
