Kohl Elementary school was a 68,440 square foot remodel of the entire school and the construction of a 1,300 square foot classroom addition. The project involved replacing outdated finishes throughout the school, which included new flooring, painting, sound absorption panels and new millwork. All existing lighting was replaced with energy-efficient LED fixtures. Additionally, mechanical systems were modernized, which included rooftop units and radiant heat upgrades. The existing built-up roof was replaced and the site received numerous upgrades. New playgrounds were constructed for each grade level (First through Fifth Grade) and over three acres of landscaped areas were revitalized, including the installation of a new booster pump.
