Lakewood, Colorado - High School Renovation & Addition

ARCHITECT | EVstudio

Phase I included 4,000 square feet dedicated to new classrooms and administration offices, accompanied by a 17,000 square foot gymnasium addition. The state-of-the-art gymnasium was designed with a professional high-performance maple wood sports court and essential amenities such as changing rooms, and restrooms. Additionally, it featured two music rooms, a full stage for school events, and an inviting lobby area, enhancing the overall functionality and appeal of the school environment.

Phase II moved quickly, adhering to a fast-track 90-day construction schedule for relocating Addenbrooke High School into a newly acquired 3-story facility in Lakewood. This phase was marked by the renovation of existing office space into a fully operational school, which required complex structural upgrades to comply with occupancy changes from a Class B to a Class E/A classification. The extensive renovation resulted in two floors transformed into 19 classrooms, a cafeteria, a library, and several administrative offices.

Phase III included the completion of a state-of-the-art artificial turf play-field, providing students with a versatile outdoor space for sports and recreation.
